Alongside co-founder Dena Bartlett, he launched CFT in 2008 to help dioceses, parishes, and Catholic schools implement scalable, accessible online education programs. Over time, the platform has grown to include micro-learning modules, catechist certification tracking, content customization, and analytic reporting tools tailored for faith formation efforts. In 2021, Rich guided CFT’s acquisition by Nelnet Business Services, integrating with broader education-focused brands while continuing to lead as CEO. Under his leadership, Catholic Faith Technologies maintains its mission-driven focus, combining technical excellence with pastoral sensitivity and ongoing customer support.
